The Power of Words

Did you ever considered the power of a word. It can have profound affects whether spoken, written, or heard.  A word can be used in many ways, depending on the context it fits.  It can even change its meaning depending on the words that it is with.  Words can make you feel happy and words can make you very sad.  So, don't ever fool yourself, words can hurt very bad.  There is also a phrase, I'm sure that you have heard; sticks and stones might break your bones.  But you can't be hurt by words.  This phrase is wrong, just think about it, I'm sure we have all been there.  Someone says something that hurts very bad, but we pretend like we don't care.  There is a way to change the affect of words.  And that's when they are spoken in love.  They can cut like a two edged sword, or be gentle as a dove.  So, if you say there is no power in words, you take the wrong position.  God, Himself used words when he spoke the world into existence.  So listen to what you are being told and remember what you have heard.  No matter what anyone tells you, there is power, in a word

 d  Verse Of The Day

I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.

                                                                     Psalm 39:1/KJV

 d  Daily Wisdom

If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

                                                                   James 1:26/KJV
